The SPFL Betting Preview: Week Nine

In the Championship, I am backing Dundee to beat Dumbarton at 3/4. Dundee finally look like they are hitting some form and it was telling that Craig Beattie got off the mark last week. He is far too good for this level and so long as he remains fit, could help himself to plenty goals. Dumbarton supposedly only have 15 fit players at the moment so now is a good time to be playing them.

In League 1 I am backing Forfar Athletic to beat Stranraer at 21/20. They had an excellent result against Dunfermline last week and I think their league position doesn’t tell the whole story. A win will see them leapfrog Stranraer and depending on other results, it could even take them into the play-off spot.

Finally, in League 2 I am going for Peterhead to beat Clyde at 11/20. The Blue Toon have been so inconsistent this season that backing them at such a short price may prove costly. However, they will want to make up for getting knocked out of the cup last weekend and should be too strong for Clyde, who seemed to have been improving before being thrashed at home to Montrose.

This week’s McBookie treble: wins for Dundee, Forfar Athletic and Peterhead as a treble will provide £45.61 profit for a £10 stake

Tell Him He's Pelé

If Tell Him He's Pelé were a boy band, they would probably be the much-missed One True Voice, both in terms of appearance and musical output.
