The SPFL Betting Preview: Week 31

How do? We’re getting to the business end of the season, so to speak, so there is no better time to gauge who is worthy for this week’s treble bet.

First of all, I am taking a punt on Falkirk at 10/3 to beat Dundee. The Dees have yet to overcome Falkirk this season and whilst the Bairns have been struggling in recent weeks, the price does seem on the generous side. They are clearly capable of competing with Dundee and, with it being a must win game, I think we will get a run for our money.

Next I am backing Airdrieonians to beat Stranraer at 27/10. The Diamonds have only lost one game in their last ten and the bookies are underestimating them once again. Gary Bollan is proving that he is an excellent manager at this level and, with Stranraer struggling, the away side can win at a big price.

Last of all, I am going for Peterhead to beat Queens Park at 8/15. Their lead at the top of the table has been cut down to five points so they’ll want to make sure they get back to winning ways and this is a perfect opportunity against the bottom side. We have stopped betting on this season’s Top Scorer market, with Rory McAllister nine goals clear, and, unless he gets injured, Peterhead should go on to win the league.

This week’s treble offer: wins for Falkirk, Airdrieonians and Peterhead returns a mighty £235 profit from a tenner. Sweet.

Tell Him He's Pelé

If Tell Him He's Pelé were a boy band, they would probably be the much-missed One True Voice, both in terms of appearance and musical output.
