The SPFL Betting Preview: Week 26

Oh, it’s this time of the week again.  Just as well we have some tempting tips for the weekend ahead.  First up I am going for Dumbarton to beat Raith Rovers at 5/4. Ian Murray has said that getting Dumbarton to the Premiership will be his greatest ever achievement. That could be the understatement of year but he certainly has them on course for a play-off push as things stand. Despite the good cup win over Hibs, Rovers are in freefall in the league and I fancy a home win.

Next I am going to back Airdrieonians to beat East Fife at 12/5. With the exception of Rangers, Airdrie are the form team in the League and Gary Bollan has done a terrific job in turning things round after a slow start. They are off the bottom and now have East Fife in their sights as they look to guarantee automatic safety. With all that in mind the price looks too big.

Finally, I am backing Peterhead to beat Albion Rovers at 21/20. Peterhead are now as short as 1/7 to win the league thanks to a ten point league – it would take a massive collapse for them to throw it away. This is one of the few games where you will still get odds against Jim McInally’s men and it looks a good bet

This week’s McBookie treblegives £146 profit on a tenner with wins for Dumbarton, Ardrie and Peterhead.  Stick it on.

If Tell Him He's Pelé were a boy band, they would probably be the much-missed One True Voice, both in terms of appearance and musical output.
