The SPFL Betting Preview: Week 24

Happy Valentine’s!  I’m sure you’ll feel the love with this treble tip.  First of all, I am backing Dundee to beat Queen of the South at 6/4. Hartley’s first game in charge was very positive and despite not killing off Alloa Athletic there was a composure that was lacking under John Brown. One area where he has been working on is their fitness which seemed to be pretty poor – adding that to their quality should help them push on to win the league.

Next I am going for Brechin City to beat Airdrie at 23/20. Brechin have hit some decent form in recent weeks and are now just sitting outside the play offs. Gary Bollan has made Airdrie more difficult to beat but hopefully Brechin will have enough firepower. The signing of Gary Kenneth is a great capture for this level – he should help them keep things tight at the back.

Finally, I am backing Annan Athletic to beat East Stirlingshire at 17/20. They look the only real challengers to Peterhead now and if they are to win the league then these are the games they need to be winning. A few of their injured players are starting to make a return to fitness and whilst they may not feature this weekend, it will mean the rest of the squad are on their toes.

This week’s McBookie treble: victories for Dundee, Brechin and Annan deliver £89 profit for a £10 bet.

Tell Him He's Pelé

If Tell Him He's Pelé were a boy band, they would probably be the much-missed One True Voice, both in terms of appearance and musical output.
