The SPFL Betting Preview: Week 20

It’s a big weekend coming up so let’s not muck around – let’s pile right into it.

On this week’s treble, I’m backing Alloa Athletic to beat Queen of the South at 29/10. It’s quite an amazing price when you consider that they’re three places higher in the league, but the market is still unconvinced by Paul Hartley’s side and many suspect they’re sitting in a false position. That may well prove to be the case, but it still doesn’t take away from the fact they’re a great value bet against a Queens side hardly in their best form.

Next, I fancy Forfar Athletic to beat Stenhousemuir at 11/10. A few people have backed Forfar to do well this season but Dick Campbell’s side have lacked the consistency to climb the table so far. That said, a win over the Warriors will see them leapfrog their opponents into fifth and put them back into the fight for the final play-off place.

Finally, in League 2 I’m going for Montrose to defeat Albion Rovers at 3/1. As we all know, anyone is capable of beating anyone else and given that the Mo have beaten the Rovers twice already this season, their big price is certainly worth taking.

This week’s McBookie treble: wins for Alloa Athletic, Forfar Athletic and Montrose will yield a very tidy £317 profit for a £10. Well worth it, methinks.

If Tell Him He's Pelé were a boy band, they would probably be the much-missed One True Voice, both in terms of appearance and musical output.
