The SPFL Betting Preview: Week 14

Hey guys! Wotcha! First up, I’m backing Dundee to beat Hamilton Academical at 5/2. The Accies might be the form team in the division (they’ve won their previous three matches) but considering that Dundee were favourites for the league just three weeks ago, it seems like a pretty big price. John Brown’s side haven’t really been playing well this season, but Saturday’s game could go a long way to deciding the Championship title. I think they’ll be right up for it.

Next up, I’m backing Stranraer to beat Airdrieonians at 4/6. I’d never thought I’d be taking on Stranraer at odds on this season but there form has been so good that it looks like a banker. Jamie Longworth has scored nine goals in his last five games and when your striker’s playing like that, it can help lift you into a play-off place.

Finally, I’m going for Peterhead at 11/10 to beat Queen’s Park. League 2 has been a nightmare for punters this season – not one team has managed to put a consistent run of results together (East Stirlingshire’s three-match winning run at the beginning of the season has been the best in league but aside from that, every team has been haphazard). Peterhead have won just one of their previous five games but still sit just four points from the top of the table. Queen’s Park have improved of late but I just can’t see them getting the better of the Blue Toon.

This week’s McBookie treble: wins for Dundee, Stranraer and Peterhead return a smashing £110 for a £10 stake.

If Tell Him He's Pelé were a boy band, they would probably be the much-missed One True Voice, both in terms of appearance and musical output.
