IT was pleasing to get my second treble up of the season, but with no score updates on Soccer Saturday (for some reason, the national vidiprinter was broken), I thought it was actually down!
This week, I am going for Livingston to beat Cowdenbeath at odds of 4/5. They had a moral boosting win last week over Dumbarton and I fully expect them to build on it against the Blue Brazil.
Next up is Arbroath to beat Brechin in the Angus derby at 8/13. Brechin are in turmoil after sacking manager Jim Weir and it seems unlikely a replacement will be in place in time for tomorrow. That puts the players in a difficult position and I think that Arbroath can capitalize.
Finally, I am taking a punt on East Stirlingshire to beat Montrose at odds of 11/5. There is nothing between these two teams so there is no way the away side should be so big, especially after their excellent result in the cup last week. Montrose on the other hand were hammered by Edinburgh City.
This week’s McBookie treble: wins for Livingston, Arbroath and East Stirlingshire give £83.05 profit for a £10 stake.
