MORTON did me a favour by coming back from 2-0 down to win last week and I am backing them again to keep the pressure on Thistle by beating Raith Rovers at odds of 10/11. With Thistle now back on top of the league, there is no doubt the pressure is on Morton, but I think they will be too strong for Grant Murray’s team, having won eight of their last ten matches.
In the Second Division, I am backing Alloa at 4/5 to beat Stranraer. They were unlucky to lose last week against Queen of the South and know they have a fight on their hands to finish in second spot. With Brechin playing their second match in succession against Second Division Champions Queens, with the last game resulting in a 0-6 thrashing, The Wasps will see this as a chance to move further clear.
Finally, in Division Three, I like the look of Peterhead at 4/5 to beat Annan. They are right back in with a shout of making the play-offs after two away wins on the bounce, and despite not having the best of home records this season, they should have enough confidence to beat Athletic
This week’s treble: Morton, Alloa and Peterhead provide £51.85 profit for a £10 stake.
