SFL Betting Preview: Week 22

IT is the Scottish Cup this weekend and with two all-SFL ties, the league will definitely have representation in the last 16. We are offering 4/1 that any SFL side can make the final and 10/1 that any of them can win it. Those odds obviously include Rangers, although they are the 14/5 outsiders against Dundee Utd.

I managed to get a single up last week as Dumbarton kept up their good recent form with a win against Hamilton. Thankfully it was the biggest price selection at 5/2.

First up I am backing Partick Thistle to beat Cowdenbeath at odds of 4/7. Normally losing a manager has a negative effect, but I fancy it will produce a positive impact on the Thistle squad, who will want to go on and win promotion.

In the Second Division, I am backing Brechin City at odds of 7/5. Mark Roberts is the current favourite in the sack race with Ayr just three points out of the relegation play off spots. Brechin on the other hand could easily catch Alloa for second place and look decent value.

Finally, I am backing Elgin City at 11/8 to beat Clyde. Elgin have struggled in recent weeks but are still very much in with a chance of making the play-offs. I am hoping they can get back on track with a win against Clyde.

This week’s McBookie Treble: Partick Thistle, Brechin City and Elgin City provide £79.57 profit for a £10 stake.

If Tell Him He's Pelé were a boy band, they would probably be the much-missed One True Voice, both in terms of appearance and musical output.
