ALL the talk this week has been about league reconstruction so it will be good to get back to focusing on the action on the pitch.
Greenock Morton let me down for my treble last weekend and that is now two weeks on the trot they have been a coupon buster. I am staying clear this time.
First up, I am backing Livingston to beat Raith Rovers at even money. Rovers might be higher up the table but Livi have two games in hand and I fully expect them to end the season in a higher position.
In the Second Division, I am going for Stenhousemuir to beat Stranraer at 4/5. Stenny have been a frustrating team this season and have let me down on a number of occasions. However, they had a great result last week against Forfar and I think they can build on it as a play-off spot can still be very much on the cards – if they can return to early season form.
Finally, I am backing Elgin City to beat East Stirlingshire at 4/9. They will still be on cloud nine after getting a point at Ibrox but Ross Jack will make sure they don’t ruin it by losing at home in a game they should win quite easily, in theory.
This week’s McBookie Treble: Livingston, Stenhousemuir and Elgin City together give £42 profit for a £10 stake.
