SFL Betting Preview: Week 14

IT is  Scottish Cup action this week as the SPL clubs join the SFL and non-league clubs in the competition. The Highland and Edinburgh Derbies will no doubt take centre stage, but there is potential for some giant killing to make headlines.

Queen of the South have already had joy against higher league opposition in the cups this season and look some value at 5/1 to beat Kilmarnock. Brechin City have also been in decent form since Ray McKinnon took charge and look quite big at 11/1 to beat St Mirren.

First up for the treble is Livingston to beat Dundee at 85/40. While Dundee don’t have the biggest squad, I would still expect them to rest a few players as they look to concentrate on SPL survival. Livi will appreciate playing against better opposition and can sneak a win

Next up, I am backing Hamilton Academical to beat Dumbarton at evens. Ian Murray is still getting his feet under the table so I expect some experimenting with his squad for the cup game and I think Hamilton can take advantage.

Finally, I am backing East Stirlingshire to beat Stirling Albion in the Third Division at 21/10. There is nothing between the two teams which means the away side have to be the value team.

The treble: Livingston, Hamilton and East Stirlingshire give £183.75 profit for a £10 stake

Tell Him He's Pelé

If Tell Him He's Pelé were a boy band, they would probably be the much-missed One True Voice, both in terms of appearance and musical output.
