SFL Betting Preview: Week 12

FRIDAY night football is once again the order of the day in Scotland, when Hamilton Academical entertain Partick Thistle. These games seem to be going down well with fans so it will be interesting to see what sort of crowd this game gets. Thistle are 4/6 favourites and, after their thumping win against Dunfermline last week, they are sure to go off at an even shorter price. My advice would be to get on them as soon as you can.

After last week’s winning treble, I’m hoping I can continue my run.

First up is Livingston to beat Falkirk at odds of 11/10. John Hughes left to join Hartlepool during the week, but I think the players will want to get right behind Gareth Evans – I can see them giving his chances of getting the job on a full-time basis a boost on Saturday.

My outside bet this week is Stenhousemuir to beat Forfar at 19/10. Only a point separates them in the league and, on their day, Stenny are a match for anyone. Unfortunately, I just don’t know if this will be one of those days. However, at that price I’m willing to find out.

Finally, in Division Three, I am on Elgin City to beat Stirling Albion at 11/10. The bookies are still underestimating Elgin, who I think are serious contenders for second place in the league. They are scoring goals for fun and should be able to take care of Stirling.

This week’s McBookie treble: Livingston, Stenhousemuir and Elgin give £117 for a £10 stake.

Tell Him He's Pelé

If Tell Him He's Pelé were a boy band, they would probably be the much-missed One True Voice, both in terms of appearance and musical output.
