SFL Betting Preview: Week 11

THE match of the day is at Firhill where title contenders Partick Thistle entertain Dunfermline. The winner of the league should come from one of these two teams and, even if this game will not decide the destination of the title, it will give the winner added confidence.

We make Partick Thistle the 6/5 favourites, for the game, with the draw 5/2 and Dunfermline 7/4. For me, the value undoubtedly lies with the Pars, but it is a game I will enjoy rather than have a bet on. Good luck if you decide to get involved.

My Scottish Cup treble was down last week in what was an absolute minefield for punters. Thankfully, I got my single on Deveronvale.

My first selection this week is from the Scottish Cup where I am on Brechin City at 8/13 to beat Bonnyrigg Rose. The junior team held their own last week but, I think they have missed their chance, and Brechin wont underestimate them this time.

Next, I am on Alloa Athletic at 11/10 to beat East Fife. While Billy Brown will be a good appointment in the long term, I think there are too many problems at the club for him to fix overnight. Alloa will have been disappointed with their performance against Rangers in the cup and will be eager to put that behind them.

Finally, for the value I am on Montrose at 7/4 to beat Clyde. Not much separates them in the league and, while Clyde are just as likely to win, I think – at the bigger odds – it is worth going with Stuart Garden’s men.

This weekend’s McBookie treble: Brechin, Alloa and Montrose give a £83.29 profit for a £10 stake.

If Tell Him He's Pelé were a boy band, they would probably be the much-missed One True Voice, both in terms of appearance and musical output.
