SFL Betting Preview: Scottish Cup Edition

SCOTTISH Cup action on Saturday will sees the First Division teams entering the competition. There are quite a few all-SFL matches and some punters might find it difficult to compare form over the various leagues.

One game which looks pretty straightforward is Greenock Morton to beat Albion Rovers at 8/15. Ton have been in superb form in the league, with Archie Campbell leading the way in the scoring stats. Even if the league campaign will be the priority, I can’t see Morton slipping up.

Next up I am going with Stranraer to beat Queens Park. This is one of those games where Stranraer are struggling at the bottom and Queens Park are flying high at the top. However, Stranraer got an excellent result last week, and after appointing  Stephen Aitken as the new boss, I think they look good value at 6/4

Finally, I am on Ayr United to beat Clachnacuddin at 2/7. It is a really short price but Ayr are hitting a run of form and should be able to handle the Highlanders without too much bother.

If there is going to be a shock, many will be looking to Ibrox where Alloa have already been backed from 16/1 to 12/1. There is no doubting they are definitely the value.  However, I like the look of Deveronvale to beat Stirling Albion at 4/1 and will be backing them as a single.

This weekend’s McBookie treble: Greenock Morton, Stranraer and Ayr United gives £39.29 profit for a £10 stake.

If Tell Him He's Pelé were a boy band, they would probably be the much-missed One True Voice, both in terms of appearance and musical output.
