Episode One: Stephen Aitken

Stranraer’s Stephen Aitken is riding the crest of a wave. The recent transformation in his side has been quite remarkable: when he took charge of the club in October 2012, the Blues were struggling at the bottom of League 1 and certainties for relegation; now, they’re one of the best sides in the division and battling for the championship.

In the first episode of the Pelé Podcast, Aitken joins Craig G Telfer to discuss his career at Stair Park, from his six years as part of the most successful side in the club’s history to his astute management of the current team. Aitken talks about replacing Keith Knox, the difficulties of balancing his football career with his professional commitments, and his dabblings with Herbalife.

The Pelé Podcast is a new, weekly feature that brings together the biggest and best personalities in the lower leagues to chat about their careers. Who will next week’s hot guest be? Tune in to find out!

Tell Him He's Pelé

If Tell Him He's Pelé were a boy band, they would probably be the much-missed One True Voice, both in terms of appearance and musical output.
