Episode 55: Andy Graham (Part One)

Remember the Pelé Podcast? It’s back – in Pog form!

The first Pelé Podcast in eight months stars Alloa Athletic’s charismatic skipper Andy Graham. In the first of three parts, Andy reflects over the early stages of his career and his rise from amateur football to the SPL.

Speaking with Craig G Telfer, Andy starts by discussing Alloa’s prospects for the season ahead and whether or not they can match (or better) last year’s eighth-place finish. He then jumps back 20 years to discuss his first steps in the game in the amateur ranks and how he came to the attention of Stirling Albion manager Allan Moore.

Andy talks in detail about his five seasons at Forthbank, including the club’s famous title win of 2009/10 when his team pipped their rivals Alloa on goal difference. He goes on to speak about his move to the top flight with Hamilton Academical and his year with boyhood heroes Greenock Morton (and how he injured himself by tripping on a rabbit hole on their training ground).

As always, this is not to be missed!

Tell Him He's Pelé

If Tell Him He's Pelé were a boy band, they would probably be the much-missed One True Voice, both in terms of appearance and musical output.
