Episode 53: David Weatherston (Part Four)

Are you not entertained? The fourth installment of David Weatherston’s Pelé Podcast begins in the summer of 2011 with his move to Falkirk. Looking back on one of his favourite spells of his career, the David tells Craig G Telfer about joining the Bairns, working under Steven Pressley and playing alongside a talented and committed band of youngsters.

He talks about his first season at the club and goes into detail about their phenomenal runs in the League and Challenge Cups, the lateral of which yielded his first, and only, career medal (and a brilliant story involving Darren Dods and a half-time team talk.

David’s second season with Falkirk is a little more bittersweet, however, with injuries and a loss of form seeing him in and out of the starting XI and the biggest game of the year – a Scottish Cup semi-final encounter with Hibernian – ending in disappointment.

As with David’s previous episodes, this is not to be missed – funny, insightful and downright excellent. What a guy!

If Tell Him He's Pelé were a boy band, they would probably be the much-missed One True Voice, both in terms of appearance and musical output.
