Episode 39: Danny Denholm (Part Two)

Danny Denholm returns for the second installment of his Pelé Podcast to look back over the past five years of his career.

Speaking with Craig G Telfer, Danny starts by discussing his return to full-time football with old club Forfar Athletic. He reflects on a rollercoaster three seasons at Station Park, beginning with the club’s title challenge in 2015 and the “worst moment of his professional career” in the play-off defeat to Alloa Athletic.

Danny then discusses the horrendous season of 2015/16, a campaign that saw Dick Campbell sacked midway through and replaced with Gary Bollan, that ultimately ended with the club’s relegation to League 1. The player chats about their doomed bid for the championship but how his team redeemed themselves by winning promotion.

Danny concludes by looking back at last season with Arbroath before discussing his excellent Lower League Ramblings blog and his use of social media.

If Tell Him He's Pelé were a boy band, they would probably be the much-missed One True Voice, both in terms of appearance and musical output.
