Episode 32: Mark Docherty (Part Two)

Like Herbalife? Love the second installment of the Pelé Podcast with Mark Docherty!

Sparky looks back over the second half of his career, beginning with his season at Stranraer. Mark remembers how he and his team-mates shook off their “whipping boys” tag to storm the League 1 table.

He moves on to talk about his return to Alloa Athletic and his “unfinished business” with the club after leaving them in 2013. Mark looks back on the Wasps’ ability to perpetually body Rangers, including their magnificent Challenge Cup semi-final triumph over them in 2014.

Next, Mark discusses his two years at Dumbarton, from the highs of winning the supporters’ “Unsung Hero of the Year” award, to the lows of losing to Bonnyrigg Rose and his altercation with Stuart Carswell. He finishes by analysing last season’s campaign with East Fife and how he coped with his first-ever long-term injury.

Tell Him He's Pelé

If Tell Him He's Pelé were a boy band, they would probably be the much-missed One True Voice, both in terms of appearance and musical output.
