Episode 30: Neil Parry (Part Two)

Neil Parry returns for the second part of his Pelé Podcast. Speaking with Craig G Telfer, the goalkeeper begins by looking back at his controversial move across Monklands from Albion Rovers to Airdrieonians. Neil talks about his affection for the Diamonds and remembers his favourite moments watching the team when he was a boy.

He recalls a topsy-turvy season at the Excelsior Stadium, including working under three different managers and a takeover, as well as the club’s proposed move from part-time to full-time football.

Neil then discusses his two years at Alloa Athletic. He talks about his admiration for Jack Ross, working under Jim “Goofer” Goodwin and the highs and lows of his two play-off contests, the second of which resulted in a wonderful promotion to the Championship.

The big man then finishes with a saucy tale that’s sure to pop the boys all over the land!

Tell Him He's Pelé

If Tell Him He's Pelé were a boy band, they would probably be the much-missed One True Voice, both in terms of appearance and musical output.
