Episode 3.5: David Irons and Stenhousemur

Earlier in the week, the Pelé Podcast was joined by from former Gretna, Greenock Morton and Stenhousemuir manager David Irons as he looked back on his topsy-turvy career. Irons talked with Craig G Telfer for almost 100 minutes and touched on a number of aspects, but it was his 18 months in charge of the Warriors which he spoke of most fondly.

This bonus podcast focuses exclusively on his time at Ochilview, from joining the club in controversial circumstances in 2010 and keeping the club in the Second Division, to his memorable but ultimately failed bid for promotion the following year. Irons reflects on his players, his favourite matches, and how he juggled his full-time role with Police Scotland with his football commitments.

This extended edition is a must for every Stenhousemuir supporter.

Tell Him He's Pelé

If Tell Him He's Pelé were a boy band, they would probably be the much-missed One True Voice, both in terms of appearance and musical output.
