Episode 26: Bobby Barr (Part Two)

The second instalment of Bobby Barr’s Pelé Podcast is one of the most explosive yet.

Speaking with Craig G Telfer, Bobby lifts the lid on a tumultuous two years at Raith Rovers, two seasons which saw them relegated from the Championship and then fail to win promotion from League 1. Bobby talks at length about both campaigns, starting with the disastrous 2016/17 season, touching on Gary Locke’s difficult tenure, working with his bête noir John Hughes, and playing in a match with no goalkeeper.

He then looks back at the Rovers’ season in the third tier, their ding-dong battle with Ayr United at the top of the table and his relationship with the Stark’s Park faithful.

This podcast should appeal to most football fans but Raith Rovers supporters in particular will find it of most interest.

If Tell Him He's Pelé were a boy band, they would probably be the much-missed One True Voice, both in terms of appearance and musical output.
